Visit the London Poppy Factory by bike
The iconic Remembrance Day poppies have been made in Richmond Upon Thames for almost 100 years.
A team of 50 people “ most of them disabled and ex-service “ work all year round to produce poppies and wreaths for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, culminating every year on the Remembrance Day. They also make wreaths laid by Her Majesty the Queen and other members of the Royal Family. Poppy Factory welcomes groups to see the poppies and wreaths being made and to learn about its history.
The Poppy Factory also works with disabled veterans around the country, supporting them into rewarding civilian careers through ongoing support and partnerships with employers.
FREE Guided tours for min 10 people can be arranged Monday to Thursday at 10:30am and at 2pm, lasting about 2 hours including tea and biscuits. Contributions greatly received and lunch available.
