Ride Details- Half Day Hampton Court Palace Bike Tour

Thank you for choosing to join us on this Merry Pedaller bike ride, here is a little information so you will enjoy the day.

Richmond Upon Thames is the last stop in the west side of London on the Underground District Line (Green Line) or on the mainline train from London Waterloo, we are happy to advise on your best route just ask. There are fast trains that take 20 minutes or slow trains taking 40 minutes.

After coming through the ticket barrier walk up the stairs to the ticket hall and come outside, there is a bench by the bus stop where I will be with my bike.

Use the toilets to the right after the ticket barrier if needed.

Please let me know your heights for the bike sizes and if male or female frames required.

Wearing a bike helmet is not law in the UK but they can be provided with advance request, just tell us if you think S/M/L is needed. This route is mainly along river tow paths and in parks but we do cycle through a golf course for a few minutes!

The River Thames is tidal so part of this ride can be muddy in places and although we have mud guards splashing is inevitable, so wear appropriate clothing + shoes, “flappy” trousers or sweat pants are best avoided, waterproofs are always advisable.

Please check you are happy with for the start time, we can help with your best route if needed . Oyster and credit cards with the 'Touch' symbol can be used, or Travel cards with zones 1-6. A light backpack is advised for personal items, we cannot allow bags on handlebars.

We encourage guests to bring their own re-useable water bottles, we can provide a filled ION8 TM Leak proof refillable water bottle (blue) which you can take away with you for £8 on the day (request in advance.)

We pick up lunch from the market to eat en route (cash only at stalls, cash machine nearby)

Please ensure we have correct emails/contact no’s in case of extreme weather forecast or

emergency cancellation, have my mobile number in case you are delayed to let me know please.

You will finish 1.30 pm approx at Hampton Court Palace for your visit, book tickets online

in advance to save time and money, return from Hampton Court Train Station later (Zone 6), trains direct to London Waterloo for London Underground choices -we can advise on your route
